Aikaterini Sylla

Team leader in EU employment affairs at Everis

An experienced consultant with a track record of formulating and executing projects related to education and employment policies at European level. This includes the following, inter alia: labour mobility, education (higher education and vocational training - formal, informal, non-formal), competence-based job-matching, digitalisation of recruitment processes – modernisation of the labour market, transparency of qualifications, management of big data in the field of employment, forecasting of competence demand, development of bridges between the worlds of labour market and education, exchange of information on CVs and job vacancies among the Public and Private Employment Services of the Member States of the European Union, systems of interoperability among employment services.

I kicked off my career at the Hellenic Ministry of Economy and Finance, followed by an international education path and career across Spain, Germany, France, Belgium and Latin America.

In 2013 I was invited by the European Commission to join as an expert the ESCO group on ICT service activities and in 2015 I was incorporated in the ESCO team. Since then I am working closely with the Commission services and a wide variety of stakeholders at European and national level to ensure ESCO meets their needs. Currently I am responsible for the technical support to the Member States with respect to the implementation of ESCO and the further development of the structure for the ESCO skills pillar.
